America has lost its sense of itself- up is down, good is bad, right is left, values perish, beliefs are doubted, and the Declaration of Independence is used to put us back in chains under a king. And the only solution that the Democrats under President Obama appear to be offering is to continue the crazy until somehow America improves. Debt skyrockets, the economy grows new and shocking bubbles, the money supply goes bonkers, our military weakens, manufacturing and construction implode, an entire generation is set back a decade in job experience, and people are more unhappy and divided than ever- and our Dear Leader promises more of what got us there.
And so here are 8 ways in which Obama continues to beat down the economy. These were first written about in July of 2012- almost 6 months ago- and yet they are as true today as they were then, because that is the nature of Obama- what ever isn't working he can be sure to continue and double down on, and what will work or might work you can be sure he will find some way to not do it. Some think it is because Obama is some sort of terrorist plant from a foreign nation put here to destroy America, but I continue to think it is because the man is an idiot and is surrounded by morons and was elected by a people who have become foolish. Sort of an idiot wrapped in morons packed by fools kind of thing.

Blocking The Keystone Oil Pipeline
The Keystone pipeline would have created thousands of new jobs. It would have been a major step toward independence from Middle East oil. It would have revitalized the economies of Montana, South Dakota, Kansas, Oklahoma, Nebraska and Texas. It would have helped reduce energy costs in the United States. It would have been good for America. But instead, Barack Obama chose to listen to radical environmental groups and has blocked the plan. Republicans are still at work trying to build this pipeline, and will probably be forced to trade away some other sort of liberty or property rights to Obama in order to get him to build it.
Obamacare
Obamacare is already forcing businesses to cut back hours and lay off employees. It is already beginning to drive up the cost of medical treatments and devices, which in turn is making healthcare more expensive at a faster rate than it was projected to go up without Obamacare. And in the long run, because it will make it more expensive to operate a business here in America, businesses in other nations will be more competitive and efficient. All while death panels are created, old people are told to die, doctors are told to not screen for expensive to treat cancers until its too late, and massive debt is piled up paying for all this bad. Another year goes by, another step down the road of Obamacare.
Crippling Regulations
The Obama administration has been piling tons of new regulations on to the backs of our businesses and this is absolutely killing many of them. The Heritage Foundation says that “the Obama Administration imposed 75 new major regulations from January 2009 to mid-FY 2011, with annual costs of $38 billion. There were only six major deregulatory actions during that time, with reported savings of just $1.5 billion.” In addition, right now federal agencies are working on thousands more new regulations for U.S. businesses. These regulations tell businesses what they can not do or how they should do something they used to figure out how to do on their own- they control the liberty of businesses and people, and cost a lot of property to implement and verify that they are implemented properly. It is never a recipe for success to spend a lot for only marginal improvements at best.
Taxes
Obama has spent his entire administration pushing for more taxes, on whomever the bogeyman of the moment is, whether it be 'oil', 'businesses,' 'the rich', or whomever else he decides to target for wealth confiscation. Thankfully he has been prevented from enacting most of his desires and wishes by the Republican Party. Still, there were more than 20 new taxes in the Obamacare law alone, and tax rates went up on a range of Americans as part of the 'fiscal cliff deal'. Taxes go up, freedom goes down.
Wasting Money
Instead of spending our money in ways that would be productive for our economy, the Obama administration continues to spend money in some of the most wasteful ways imaginable. And I'm not just talking about Obama personally wasting taxpayer dollars on trips to Hawaii or fancy dinner parties with celebrities or the most expensive inaugurations in the history of the world. I mean wasting money on government projects as the usual business of running government. For example, in 2011 the National Institutes of Health spent $592,527 on a study that sought to figure out once and for all why chimpanzees throw poop. Or the fact that the federal government has actually spent $750,000 on a new soccer field for detainees held at Guantanamo Bay. You can find many more examples of this phenomenon here and here. This sort of spending is wasteful when a nation is prosperous and the government is bringing in record revenues (as it was under Bush)- but when the nation is not prosperous and revenues to the government are falling, every dollar is important because every dollar was worked hard for by a taxpayer. And yet Obama continues to waste money.
Barack Obama Encourages Government Dependence
At the same time that Barack Obama is absolutely crippling small businesses, he is also encouraging more Americans to kick back and become financially dependent on the federal government. But it is not good to have tens of millions of Americans sitting around and doing nothing productive for the economy. Since Barack Obama entered the White House, the number of Americans on food stamps has increased from 32 million to 46 million- and is spending millions of dollars on ads that encourage even more people to go on food stamps. Overall, the amount of money that the federal government gives directly to the American people has increased by 32 percent since Barack Obama entered the White House. Barack Obama may enjoy playing Santa Claus with our money, but this is getting way out of hand.
The Soaring National Debt Is Killing Millions Upon Millions Of Future Jobs
The debt that Barack Obama is piling up right now will haunt the U.S. economy for ages to come. When Barack Obama first entered the White House, the U.S. national debt was sitting at 10.6 trillion dollars. Now it is right on the verge of crossing the 16 trillion dollar mark. Amazingly, Obama has added more to the national debt than the first 41 presidents combined. At this point, the United States has more government debt per capita than Greece, Portugal, Italy, Ireland or Spain does. But Barack Obama shows no sign of slowing down. In fact, the federal government continues to steal approximately 150 million dollars from our children and our grandchildren every single hour. In the end, this is going to absolutely destroy our financial system and our economy will collapse.
