As a public school teacher, every day I observe the continual battle between those who believe in life, liberty, and the protection of property and those who do not. This is my story.

NHL Midwinter Classic
If you didn't get a chance to check out the NHL Midwinter Classic, in which the Detroit Red Wings defeated the Chicago Blackhawks 6-4, you missed one heck of a production. From the entrance of the players and their little traditions, to the national anthem which was wonderfully sung and had fireworks and a flyover by the Air Force, to the wonderful fans who filled the seats and the surrounding buildings and roared during the whole game- it was a great production. The little touches were great- throw back uniforms, Hall of Famer's dropping the puck- heck, even the coaches wore old school hockey jackets! The NHL should be very proud of what they have done.
